Adding & Duplicating Pages

Pages Overview

A well-organised page structure enhances the user experience by making site navigation intuitive. In Limecube, new pages aren't automatically visible to visitors — they stay hidden until you choose to publish them, giving you time to edit before going live.

Adding Pages

How to Add a New Page

  2. 2Right-click on 'Home' in the page list, or click the 'Add new' button

Adding Sub-pages

To create a sub-page (nested under a parent page), right-click the parent page in the page list and select 'Add'. Enter the page details, choose a layout, and click Apply. Sub-pages appear as dropdown items under their parent in the navigation menu.

AI Assisted Pages

Limecube can generate entire pages using AI. Trial accounts get 2 free AI-generated pages, while Business Plan subscribers get unlimited generations. Provide a clear description of what the page should contain — the better your input, the better the output.
AI-generated pages are a great starting point, but always review and personalise the content. Replace generic text with your own messaging and swap AI images for real photos of your business.

Managing Pages

Making a Page Active

Hover over 'Publish' in the top-right corner and toggle it on to make a page visible to visitors. Note: the home page cannot be made inactive.

Publishing to the Navigation Menu

Activating 'Show on Menu' displays the page in your site's navigation. This is separate from publishing — a page can be live but hidden from the menu if you only want it accessible via direct links.

Duplicating a Page

Right-click the page and select 'Duplicate'. The copy won't be published automatically, so you can edit it before making it visible. This is useful for creating pages with similar layouts.

Deleting a Page

Right-click the page and confirm deletion.
Deleting a page is irreversible. Make sure you no longer need the page before confirming deletion.

Page Types

Limecube supports several page/menu types: New page (standard), Blog post, Internal link (links to another page on your site), External link (links to another website), Placeholder (menu item with no page), Page anchor (scrolls to a section), and Shop.

Set as Homepage

You can designate a different page as your homepage. A copy of the previous homepage is automatically created as a sub-page so you don't lose any content.

Troubleshooting

Best Practices

Structure your menu logically with related pages grouped together. Use clear, descriptive page names. Keep the top-level menu concise (5–7 items max). Test that all pages load within 3 seconds — optimise images if they're slow.
