Popup Manager

4 min readUpdated 1 March 2026
The Popup Manager is designed for creating site-wide popups on your Limecube website. These can function as general promotional popups or as mandatory popups requiring user agreement before accessing your site.
This feature is only available on business plans.

How Cookies Work with Popups

The popup operates via cookies with two modes. When 'Force accept terms' is off, the popup will not reappear for 7 days after dismissal. When 'Force accept terms' is on, the popup appears on every new visit but not on subsequent page views within the same browsing session.

Popup Manager Tutorial

Setting Up a Popup

  1. 1Navigate to More > Administration > Settings > 'Notification Bar/Popup' tab
  2. 2Scroll to the 'Popup Manager' section
  3. 3Complete the necessary settings (see below)
  4. 4Click 'Save all' in the top-right corner

Settings Options

The Popup Manager offers the following configuration options:

Available Settings

  1. 1Enable/Disable — toggle popup visibility on your site
  2. 2Title — header text displayed at the top of the popup
  3. 3Popup text/HTML — content area supporting text, images, links, and formatting
  4. 4Force accept terms — require visitors to agree before accessing the site
  5. 5Width — controls popup width relative to screen size (desktop only)
  6. 6Popup delay time (seconds) — delays popup appearance; a short delay is highly recommended
  7. 7Set by page — defaults to all pages; can target specific pages individually
Adding a short delay before the popup appears gives visitors time to see your site content first, improving user experience and reducing bounce rates.

Disabling the Popup

To disable the popup, simply untick the 'Enable/Disable' option in the Popup Manager. Your settings will remain saved for future re-enablement.
