Cloudflare - DNS settings

This page is if you want to point your domain to Limecube using Cloudflare.

Pointing your domain

  1. Log into your Cloudflare account.

  2. Once you have logged in you should see your domain name/s under the Home screen, click on the domain name you want to point to Limecube.

  3. On the left-hand side, you should see the option 'DNS' to manage your DNS settings -> Click on DNS.

  4. On the DNS page, scroll down and find the existing DNS records of your domain in the table view, here you can add and/or edit your DNS records.

  5. Find the Type 'A' record with the Name of just your domain without the 'www' in front, it would display as 'yourdomain.com'.
  6. Click on the 'Edit' button to open the edit screen. And change the 'Content' IP address to 35.197.188.96. Make sure to switch the 'Proxy status' mode to 'DNS Only'.

It should look like the screenshot below after your changes (Except that where it shows 'yourdomain.com' in the Name field should be your actual domain).

  7. Similar to the step above, find the Type 'A' record with the Name of 'www' (Shown as the screenshot below). Again, click on the 'Edit' button to open the edit screen, and change the 'Content' to 35.197.188.96. Make sure to switch the 'Proxy status' mode to 'DNS Only'.

  8. Update the DNS records to point to: 35.197.188.96. The screenshot below shows what you should end up with.

  9. Once these settings have been saved you have successfully changed the DNS records for your domain. These changes may take 1 - 24 hours to propagate throughout the web.

Time delay

It may take up to 2-24 hours for your domain to fully point to Limecube. This time delay is dependent on your domain host.

You may also find that within this period of time, some users will see the new site, some will see the old site.

Troubleshooting

To use this tool, simply enter your domain name in the first field where you see 'limecube.co, and press 'search'.

IP address not showing

Not showing 35.197.188.96 If you don't yet see 35.197.188.96 showing, and 2 hours have passed, we recommend going back and checking your domain settings against the instructions above. For Cloudflare users, please make sure that the Proxy status of your DNS records has been switched to the 'DNS Only' mode, as the 'Proxied' mode may have conflicts with Limecube's domain validation system.
Only some countries show 35.197.188.96 If it is simply a case that 35.197.188.96 is showing on some countries and not others, that indicates your domain has started updating correctly, but not yet fully updated everywhere yet, and will just need more time.
