Making Your Site Live on Limecube

8 min readUpdated 1 March 2026

Overview

Publishing your website on Limecube requires three steps: set up a subscription, add your domain and enable the live toggle, and point your domain DNS to Limecube. Steps 2 and 3 cannot be performed without an active subscription.

Step 1 — Adding Your Domain Name

Once you apply this change, if DNS has not been set, you will not be able to access your Limecube site until the DNS has been fully updated.

Steps to Add Your Domain

  1. 1Go to 'Profile' on the site header
  2. 2Under 'Domains', enter your full website address
  3. 3Choose which version of your domain should be the 'Primary' version
  4. 4Click your provider name for specific DNS instructions, or follow Step 2 below
  5. 5Click the 'Domain Live' button when you are ready to launch
  6. 6Click Apply

Step 2 — Pointing Your DNS

Initial Steps

  1. 1Log in to your domain host where you registered your domain
  2. 2Navigate to your DNS management panel — look for 'Manage Domains', 'Domain Manager', 'Zone File Settings', or 'DNS Manager'
  3. 3Review your current DNS records to determine which method applies to you

Method 1 — A Records Only

If you see A records for '@', 'www', and optionally '*' all pointing to the same IP, change each one to: 35.197.188.96. See Connecting Your Domain for detailed steps.

Method 2 — CNAME and A Records

If you see a CNAME record for 'www', only change the A record for '@' (and the wildcard '*' if it exists) to: 35.197.188.96. Do not modify the CNAME record.

Propagation Time

It may take 2–24 hours for your domain to fully point to Limecube, depending on your domain host. During this period, some visitors may see the new site while others still see the old one.

Troubleshooting

After your site is live, check the pre-launch checklist to make sure you have not missed any important steps like analytics, form testing, and redirects.
