Music/Podcasts

Add a player for your podcast, album, playlist or single track.

Adding a player

  1. 1In the editor, open Add Elements and choose Music/Podcasts from the Basic group.
  2. 2In the panel, under Choose your music/podcast provider, click your platform.
  3. 3Paste the Embed code your platform gives you.

Supported platforms

Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Bandcamp, Mixcloud, SoundCloud, Spotify, TuneIn, YouTube and Other.
Choose Other for any platform not listed, as long as it provides an embed code. You can also embed audio through the Integrations element's Custom Code option.

Getting your embed code

The wording differs slightly per platform, but it's always the same idea: find the track, album, show or episode you want, look for Share, then Embed, and copy the code you're given.
In Spotify, for example: open the track or episode, click the three-dot menu, choose Share, then Copy embed code. Paste the whole snippet exactly as given, and don't edit it.

Tips

  • Paste the embed code, not the page link. A plain link to your podcast won't produce a player. Look specifically for the Embed option.
  • Switching platforms is safe. Your code for the previous platform is kept, so you can switch back without re-pasting.
  • Playback controls come from the platform, not Limecube, so size, colour and layout are whatever that provider's player offers.
  • Your show or track needs to be publicly available on the platform for the player to work.

If you used Stitcher or Whooshkaa

Both services closed down. Any players you had were moved to Other automatically, with your code intact, so they keep working exactly as before, and there's nothing you need to do. If you'd like a modern player, re-embed the show from one of the platforms listed above.
