When editing a content block or text element, a toolbar appears with a range of formatting and editing tools. This glossary covers every item available in the toolbar so you can quickly find the function you need.
Basic Actions
Undo — reverses the last action. Redo — reapplies an action you have undone. These allow you to step back and forth through your editing history.
Formats & Headings
The Formats dropdown provides heading options from H1 through to H6, allowing you to structure your content with proper heading hierarchy for readability and SEO.
Inline Styling
Bold, Italic, Underline, and Strikethrough — standard text formatting options. Text colour and Background colour — apply custom colours to selected text. Superscript and Subscript — raise or lower text for references and notation. Code — applies code-style formatting to selected text.
Block Formatting
The Blocks dropdown includes Paragraph, Blockquote, Div, and Pre tags. These control how content is structured at the block level, allowing you to create quoted text, code blocks, or custom containers.
Alignment
Left, Centre, Right, and Justify alignment options. Note that applying these to an image will make the image align to the specified position within its container.
Special Characters & Inserts
Special characters — opens a panel of symbols and special characters to insert. Horizontal line — inserts a divider line. Date/Time — inserts the current date or time. Non-breaking space — adds a space that prevents a line break at that position.
Advanced Features
Source code — view and edit the raw HTML of your content. Image/Video insert — embed media directly in the content area. Link management — create and edit hyperlinks. Anchor — create named anchors for in-page navigation. Table insert — add a table to your content. Lists — create ordered or unordered lists. Indent/Outdent — increase or decrease content indentation. File insert — embed downloadable files.
When using the source code editor, any potentially harmful or incompatible HTML may be automatically stripped out once applied. Always preview your changes to ensure the content renders as expected.
