Titles and Headings

5 min readUpdated 1 March 2026
Clear titles and headings matter for both search engines and user experience. Search engines prioritise website page titles, blog titles, and headings — proper structuring can improve your search engine rankings. Titles and headings also guide visitors through your content, making it easier to scan pages and find information.

Editing Your Page Title

  1. 1Select the page you want to edit
  2. 2Click the Settings Icon on the page's Header Bar
  3. 3Edit the Page Name
  4. 4Apply your changes
  5. 5Save

Correct Heading Structure

Using appropriate heading structures (H1, H2, H3, etc.) is essential for SEO and readability. There should only be one H1 per page, and subsequent headings should follow a logical hierarchy.

Structuring Content with Headings

  1. 1Select the page you want to structure
  2. 2Open the content block editor or heading element
  3. 3Use the text format dropdown menu to organise headings (H1, H2, H3)
  4. 4Save your changes

Adding a Heading Element

  1. 1Find the Heading element in the Elements panel and drag it onto your page
  2. 2Choose animation effects (optional)
  3. 3Customise effect colours
  4. 4Configure text fields based on the selected effect
  5. 5Choose preset styles or select 'Custom' for full control over size and font properties (desktop, tablet, mobile)
  6. 6Set heading alignment (left, centre, or right)

Styling Headings

  1. 1Hover over the element (ensure you are not in editing mode for content blocks)
  2. 2Click the colour palette icon
  3. 3Customise colours, properties, and sizes

Best Practices

Keep headings consistent in style across all pages. Write clear, concise headings that accurately describe the content below. Use relevant keywords in titles and headings. Maintain a logical hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) to guide both search engines and users.
