Adding keywords into the alt text and titles of images on your website is a great way to improve indexing across all search engines. You can easily add this information through Limecube's Image Editor.
What Are Alt Text Tags?
Alt text tags tell search engines what an image is about. This text will appear in place of the image if the image is broken or cannot be found. Therefore it is important to describe the image clearly in your alt text tag.
How to Edit Alt Text
- 1Select the page containing the image you want to optimise
- 2Click inside the content block
- 3Click on the image, then select the image icon
- 4Enter the Image Description (this translates to the image alt text)
- 5Click OK
- 6Save your changes
Write alt text that accurately describes the image content. Include relevant keywords where natural, but avoid keyword stuffing. Good alt text also improves accessibility for visitors using screen readers.
Use the SEO Dashboard to identify images that are missing alt text across your entire site.
