Schema.org Markup

5 min readUpdated 15 March 2026

What Is Schema Markup?

Schema markup helps search engines better comprehend your website content, improving SEO and visibility. Limecube supports JSON-LD schema markup format, which Google recommends. Blog posts include Schema Microdata automatically.
This feature is only available on Business plans.

JSON-LD vs Microdata

JSON-LD is added in a <script> tag, making it easier to manage without mixing it with HTML content. Google prefers this format. Microdata is embedded within HTML tags — it is less flexible and can be harder to maintain.

Adding JSON-LD Schema at Page Level

  1. 1Go to the Limecube admin dashboard
  2. 2Navigate to the page editor for the desired page
  3. 3Click 'Page Settings' at the top of the page
  4. 4Click the SEO tab (second tab) next to the title
  5. 5Paste your JSON-LD schema code in the provided field
  6. 6Save your changes

Adding JSON-LD Schema Site-Wide

  1. 1On the top admin menu, go to <strong>More > SEO Manager > Schema.org Markup</strong> tab
  2. 2Select either 'Local Business' or 'Other' depending on your schema type
  3. 3Enter or paste your JSON-LD code
  4. 4Save your changes
Page-level schema has higher priority and replaces site-wide schema for specific pages. This allows you to set a general schema for your site while customising individual pages with more specific structured data.
