The Page Editor

6 min readUpdated 1 March 2026
The page editor is the central workspace in Limecube where you build and manage your website pages. It provides drag-and-drop editing, real-time previews, and full control over layout, content, and styling.
No changes are saved until you press the Save button. Always save your work before navigating away from the editor to avoid losing changes.

Header and Navigation

The header appears consistently across all pages. Any changes you make to the header — such as updating your logo or navigation menu — automatically reflect on every page that displays it.

Page Settings Tabs

Page Settings

Configure your page name, URL slug, header and footer visibility, password protection, and background images. You can also control whether the page is active and visible to visitors.

SEO Settings

Manage meta titles, descriptions, indexing preferences (noindex/nofollow), and JSON-LD schema markup. These settings control how your page appears in search engine results.

Social Sharing

Customise how your content appears when shared on social media platforms. Set specific titles, descriptions, and images for Open Graph and Twitter Card previews.

Blog Settings

Available only for blog posts. Manage categories, tags, featured status, publication dates, and excerpts. See Blog — Creating and Editing for full details.

The Left Sidebar

The left sidebar provides quick access to all major editing functions: pages and navigation, section management, the elements library, the style editor, and shop management. It mirrors your site's page structure so you can switch between pages without leaving the editor.

The Editing Area

The main canvas displays your page content as it will appear to visitors. Click on any element to select it, then use the floating toolbar to edit, move, duplicate, or delete it. Sections can be rearranged by dragging, and new content blocks can be added anywhere on the page.
The footer appears at the bottom of every page and can be customised with different layout options, colours, and content. Like the header, footer changes apply site-wide.

Previewing Your Page

Click the 'Visit Page' button in the top-right corner to preview your page in a new tab. The page must be marked as active for the preview to work. This shows you exactly what visitors will see.
Use the responsive preview modes to check how your page looks on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices before publishing.
