The footer appears at the bottom of every page on your website. Any edits you make are applied site-wide, so you only need to update it once. It's an important branding and navigation element — often containing contact details, social links, and secondary navigation.
Accessing the Footer Editor
- 1Navigate to the bottom of any page in the page editor
- 2Hover over the footer area to reveal the editing controls on the right side
- 3Three icons will appear: colour wheel (colour adjustments), edit icon (layout and style options), and layout selector (footer structure templates)
Adjusting Footer Colours
Click the colour wheel icon to open the colour panel. You can modify the background and text colours using your site's existing colour palette, ensuring brand consistency across your design.
Editing Footer Style
Select the edit icon and choose 'Footer Style' to access the full style options.
Light or Dark Theme
Choose between a light or dark theme. Both draw from your site's colour palette for visual consistency.
Background Image
Select an image from the File Manager or upload a new one. You can apply an overlay colour for text readability and adjust transparency — around 80% is typically recommended for a good balance between image visibility and text legibility.
Spacing
Control the vertical space above and below footer content by adjusting the top and bottom padding values.
Choosing a Footer Layout
Multiple preset layouts are available. These provide structural templates with empty content areas — selecting a new layout won't remove your existing content. Some sections may remain blank, ready for you to add new elements such as text, buttons, or social icons.
Select a footer layout that matches your site's content width for the most balanced design. A footer that's much wider or narrower than your content sections can look misaligned.
Always click Save after making footer changes. Because the footer is site-wide, your edits will apply to every page once saved.
