Schema.org Markup

Schema.org Markup helps search engines understand your website’s content better, enhancing SEO and search visibility. Limecube supports adding Schema.org markup in JSON-LD format, which is the recommended format by Google. Schema Microdata is built into blog posts automatically.

By leveraging JSON-LD schema markup, you can ensure that search engines interpret your content accurately, resulting in better search visibility and rich search results for your pages.

For more in-depth information about Schema, visit Limecube's schema guide.

JSON Schema can be entered in 2 ways:

  1. Site wide
  2. One an individual page-level
This feature is only available on business plans.

JSON vs Microdata

Limecube supports JSON-LD as it's more versatile and cleaner compared to Microdata. Here’s a quick comparison:

  • JSON-LD: Added in a <script> tag, making it easier to manage without mixing it with HTML content. Google also prefers this format.
  • Microdata: Embedded within HTML tags, it’s less flexible and can be harder to maintain.

Adding JSON-LD Schema at page level

This example shows how structured data has displayed: Reviews, Price range, and that it is available (In stock).

To add JSON-LD schema at a page level:

  1. Go to your Limecube admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the page editor for the desired page.
  3. Click on 'Page Settings' at the top of the page.
  4. Click the SEO tab (2nd tab) next to the title.
  5. Paste your JSON-LD schema code in the provided field.
  6. Save your changes.
Note: If you have site wide schema set, your page level schema has a higher priority and will replace site wide schema for the specific page you are adding it to.

Adding JSON-LD Schema site wide

This sets schema on all pages, except where you have added it on a specific page.
